Accident and Damage Reporting Information
What steps should be taken in the event of an accident or breakdown?
- Secure the accident scene with a warning triangle, provide first aid if needed, call emergency services, or dial 110 if another vehicle is involved. Mention "we have a rental car."
- Contact us as the owner immediately by phone (07541-489340); we will later send a form for description via email.
- Take and provide photos of damage to BOTH vehicles, showing license plates when possible.
- Record details, including full names, addresses, and phone numbers of the driver and, if applicable, the owner of the other vehicle.
- If the police are involved, request an "accident card" for all parties and take photos.
- Breakdown: If the hotline has no suggestions, contact us as the vehicle owner first – do not call a tow truck right away! For breakdown assistance, use BGV at 0721-660-3333 (service works only with a license plate number).
